ReplyDeleteYour comments about communication were really good, even discussing that issue was a wise thing.
Unfortunately, communication is a much neglected aspect of many relationships and marriages! Many men have unconscious blocks toward the things their spouses may need, or desire, to discuss. It is amazing how men need their spouses to be very attentive, anticipating the praise of 'their woman', but never considering the fact that they should reciprocate.
Lack of communication has caused many 'breaks in the fence' of marriage. Things can easily get out of those breaks....
This is a wonderful website. I often laugh and joke about wanting the rule book on marriage and raising children. Most of us have come through by trial and error, which translates to mean good days and bad days. It's good to be able to see suggestions and ideas with biblical concepts. The world would give you advice that will have you walking completely out of the will of God. Sometimes churches give you advice that have you looking at God like you can't be serious. It is good for people to see that marriages can be successful and Christians are human and although we have the same issues and insecurities God is able to sustain our marriages. Not only that, marriage can be a beautiful thing.
